THE BOYSEN BUS TO ROMERIKE
EXPERIENCE ORGAN TREASURES WITH OLAV RUNE BASTRUP & ESPEN MELBØ
The festival’s popular Boysen Bus keeps rolling! This time, Olav Rune Bastrup and Espen Melbø are bringing the audience on an organ journey through Romerike and the organs in Eidsvoll Church, Jessheim Church, and Fet Church. In Eidsvoll Church, thee audience will hear both the choir organ from Torstenson organ factory and the main organ with 35 stops, built in 2003 by Swiss Orgelbau Kuhn. In Jessheim Church, we will encounter a 25-stop organ from 2018, built by Weimbs Orgelbau in Frankfurt. The last stop is Fet Church, with their brand new Frobenius organ with 34 stops, completed in 2025. On the musical program, we have Scandinavian music as well as the great masters on the continent, with works by Bach, Olsson, Sandvold, Wagner, Laukvik, Mendelssohn, and Duruflé.
