FAMILY CONCERT
ALLEGRIA NOW!

ENSEMBLE ALLEGRIA

Allegria for children

Welcome to a family concert with Ensemble Allegria. “Allegria NÅ!” (“Allegria NOW!”) is an exciting and dynamic musical performance for the whole family. Here, the musicians share their joy in music with a wish to reach as many as possible with their music. The children will become acquainted with the musicians and their instruments; they can try to play on a string instrument – and maybe even conduct the entire orchestra! The title is a play on the moment – a common NOW that is shared by the musicians and the audience, where we together experience live music. At the family concert, Ensemble Allegria presents some absolute favourites by Vivaldi, Grieg, Tchaikovsky, and Bartók. Music of the NOW will also be represented, with songs by Sigrid, Aurora, and Pharell Williams. For many years, the Church Music Festival has collaborated with Ensemble Allegria, and we are thrilled to be able to incorporate the ensemble’s family project with the festival’s own commitment to children and youth.

  • Ensemble Allegria has for many years been committed to reaching new audiences, especially children and youth. With especially curated concert programs, they have toured youth clubs and delighted thousands of pupils from primary school to upper secondary school through the program The Cultural Schoolbag. In 2024, they started the project Neighborhood concerts at Holmlia, where the orchestra seeks out completely different target audiences, aged between 0 and 100, in kindergartens, at meet-ups for seniors and parents, at places of work, after-school programs, and other social meeting places. The orchestra has played Neighborhood concerts in collaboration with Bergen International Festival and the Nordland Music Festival, and has exciting plans for the continuation of the project in the next years.
